Been too long

I’d like to blame it on being busy (which it has been), but it seems there’s always a time I start to neglect doing updates. So here we are four months later… It’s a rare day that I have no plans, so let’s try to get a little caught up. The shops been doing great and I truly appreciate everyone who has comes in and makes our job possible. As of a few weeks ago we extended the hours to help meet the demands. New hours are Tues-Thurs 1-8, Fri-Sat 1-10, Sun 1-6.

Now a few photos…

These are based off some origami flowers, the client made. She was nice enough to even leave me a couple.

Photo is a little fuzzy, but it’s a side by side of a painting I did, and then the tattoo of it. Super fun!

Another really fun tattoo, and one of the nicest guys ever.

A 18×24 painting I did for fellow tattooer and great guy Matt Quale out in Spokane Washington. He also builds amazing machines.

I think that’s it for now. You can now follow me on instagram as well @timstrating

Post holiday update

So first off belated happy new year, and holidays. Hopefully everyone enjoyed some down time and some good company. Now the holidays are over and it’s time to get back to the grind. That means I got more doodles I’ve been making here and there, that I’d like to tattoo on people. As a bonus a couple of them will come with paintings to match…..

My original idea was to fill in the center with an initial or what not, but it could just be red too.

Let’s get some news out of the way first. The shop is gonna take some holiday time to freshen up the shop a bit. It’s time for a new coat of paint, and whatever other tweaking we desire. We think it’s gonna look great, and gonna keep our relaxed atmosphere. The shop is gonna be closed 20th&21st while we make this happen.

I had a few prints made of a recent painting. I only made a handful so if you want one swing on in and check em out. Sorry about the photo quality, it’s off my phone.

Here’s a couple tattoos done recently…

And finally I did this one on Miranda. It was one of the designs I posted, and was a lot of fun to do. There’s still more I’d like to do though.

Post FEST update

•November 9, 2011 • 2 Comments

Things have been crazy and great around here lately. The FEST 10 was just through town, and far exceeded our expectations. The FEST is a weekend of shows at every venue in town, that attracts an international crowd. We tattooed people from Australia, Britain, France, Ireland, Scotland, Switzerland, and Whales. Not to mention all over the U.S. We did a promotion to celebrate our friends at “no idea” records, a $50 flash sheet dedicated to their logo. Here’s about 1/3 of what we did…

Sadly we didn’t get photos of all of them, sorry if yours didn’t make it in here.

Here’s some other FEST art I tattooed on our Scottish friends… A group of friends came over for to watch two of their friends get married at No Idea. I did this bat on four of them when they came into town. They were a lot of fun to do, and great people to talk to.

I’d like to personally thank everyone that came in, through out the weekend. Especially those who waited out the lines we developed. The response we got this year was overwhelming. We can honestly say we did out best to get to everyone that we could, and are sorry if there’s anyone we missed. Everyone was a  pleasure to deal with, and it’s great to meet people from all over the globe. You all made the long hours worth while. We hope to see you all back next year.

I did this one before the Fest hit. Ian wanted me to combine his German and Danish background into his American pride.

Doing good

Next Saturday, October 22, Anthem tattoo will be doing a fundraiser with all proceeds go towards funding ovarian cancer. There will be designs made for the event, but as always you can bring your own ideas as well. Help us do some good…

I also have another few design that I’m posting just because I want to do them

And here’s one I did recently. I shaded this rose differently than I normally would have, but it was based off some album artwork for a group “cannibal ox”, so I made some compromises to give it some of that feel.
